I was born only two years before this movie came out, and these songs touched me in a strong, but gentle way. I even chose Dominic as my confirmation name, but I have to say that I like this song even more. What happened to this era, when people were working for a better world for everyone? When international pop stars sang their songs in other languages to help bridge the gap? And doing it all with beautiful music and a call for peace? I certainly grew up in a more gracious time.

@nauort23 I share your sentiments..I was born in 1942 and I grew up in a town with no electricity yet. Most of the time I listened to a battery operated radio. By listening to music, I learned how play the piano and guitar and to accompany singers with better voices than mine..Indeed, FAR BEYOND THE STARS and the other songs from the movie SINGING NUN extoll the goodness of man and God, especially God's kindness to man..The tune is so endearingly sweet. .The SINGING NUN DVD is now available!
