soooo.. incase anyone actually bothered to read this.. and was wondering why the whole vid has been mostly hacking and such..well brooke, as explained in the falling off video, went lame because she tweeked her shoulder in the spring mud. I had just been putting linament on her and walking for about 2 weeks when, this weekend, since it was sooooo nice out,almost 28degrees, some other people and i went on a hack in the back field which i hadnt been to since last year on brooke. (you can see this in the videos with other horses and people riding and the videos in the forest..) So brooke was getting kind of excited so we were about to turn around when brooke stopped..i looked down and saw that she was stepping in a wire fence that had come down.(The STUPID hunter that hunts deer there has apparently cut some of the fences down and because of all the snow we've gotten this year it had been burried by some leaves so no one saw it.) As soon as i realized i got off and tried to lift her foot, but being the thoroughbred that she is, when she realized what was going on she ran around me(tangling me in the fence) and did a HUGE rear.. and leaped out of the wire and proceeded to gallop home through, not the path, but the very thick forest. Luckily someone else on the ride had their phone and called the barn and before looking for her too long they caught her back at the barn. Thank god. I was soo worried:((
but anyways she is now very lame with a pretty deep cut from the wire and sevral scrapes from the trees she ran through. Lets just say I wont be going back there again. We'll stick to the gravel paths that i know are safe. Luckily, though very swollen and trender, shes okay(reletivly), though her brain is pretty scrambled. And i only made out with a pair of shredded pants, a few small cuts(from her catching me in the wire) and a sprained finger..I hope she gets better soon :S
we're not having much luck these past few weeks:'((
so anyways thats the story since i know someone will bring it up after seeing this video.
