@SchweitzerMan This was just an intro for the show, it didn't have to be funny as much as the rest of the show because it was just to rouse up the crowd. And plus Madtv had better quality actors, and characters, than SNL. People only watch SNL just for the celeberites guest host and thats it. I bet you can even remember a character played on SNL, or an actor.

Not one of Madtv's best skits...don't get me wrong, I love Madtv, but Cher wasn't really that old when this skit premiered.
