The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan commissioned Team Detroit to develop a series of commercials to promote giving to foundations and to causes residents of Southeast Michigan care about most. In them, Origami Master, Robert J. Lang, traveled to Detroit for a 13-hour shoot to capture each painstaking fold as he transformed an ordinary check into the commercials' familiar shapes: Tree, Gift, House, Piggy Bank, Violin, Michigan and Text Book.
