Someone needs to explain to me why the Germans (although they're not the only one) are so obsessed with Villazon and Netrebko. Both have a flawed technique, and sound pedestrian as compared to those GREATS who have gone before them. The rendition of La Traviata was Opera-Lite-Meets-MTV for heaven's sake.
