NO WIND, so it's a good time to go outside and fly the Lama 2-1, and take some video. If you would like more Info on the Walkera's Lama 2-1( http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1011286 )

  • I just got my lama 2-1 todays and it is really sensitive like when i go forward a little its goes as if it was kind of being slammed, or is it normal and i have to learn it more, because its very difficult for me, and i tend to go forward then back then it sways around harder to control so i have to land it and btw its my first heli.

  • Yes its very sensitive and very fast movements of the controls will make it go out of control. keep practising slight movements and you will get used to it flying behaviors. The Lama 2-1 it my first heli too. :-)

  • Hi! i got this one since 1 week. When I push the pitch stick forward the heli drifts forward and about 30 degrees to the right.

After this gesture it begins a huge and ever expanding TB (Toilet Bowl effect).

I was told to adjust the the trim - did that did not help

I was told to adjust the tiny screw on the 5in1 to adjust sensitivity - did not help either

Help - my poor heli behaves as though drunk....I'd like to get back to straight flying soon.

Much gratitude to anyone who can help.

  • First try tightening the blades to make them move a little not too lose. My lama2-1 does the same thing too, I just offset it with a little tilt to the left and it flies strait.

  • another problem ha, if i push the throtle up quickly my lama2 spins right about 90 degrees and it still needs a bit of left or right yaw trim in my flight, is this normal?

    cheers

  • Sorry for the late reply. Maybe one of the motors is wearing out faster then the other one so it is having a harder time kipping up. These motors really suck, I've had to change them out 3 time already.

  • sometimes its the gyro adjustment. if you go full throttle and it spins like that. turn the gyro adjustment Clockwise about a quarter turn.. see what hapens then

  • thanks man, its sorted it

  • Usually that clears up problems with "timing" issues of rotors not spinning at the correct speed or time.

Hope this helps, theres a lot of maintenance with these helicopters.

  • Try setting the min and max throttle points on your transmitter. These coax's are picky. With the lipo out of the heli put the throttle on the transmitter to full throttle. Turn on the transmitter. Quickly plug in lipo into heli. Make sure the led on the transmitter is still blinking when you plug the lipo in The heli should partially sync. Lower the throttle and it should finish binding. Now you have set the max and min throttle position.
