Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo (LARC)

LARC (Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo, 5 ton), is an aluminium hulled amphibious cargo vehicle capable of transporting 5 tons. It was developed in the United States during the 1950s, and is used in a variety of auxiliary roles to this day.

The video is a pre production LARC 5, there were also LARC 15 and LARC LX models.

The US Navy Beachmaster Units operate this version. I've heard that the US Army operates a much larger version.

they got these in Halifax, Nova Scotia and it does harbour tours in the summer
