LARC (Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo, 5 ton), is an aluminium hulled amphibious cargo vehicle capable of transporting 5 tons. It was developed in the United States during the 1950s, and is used in a variety of auxiliary roles to this day.

  • A larc15 was broken down on the grand Rons river for year finally got towed away some how that this was stuck so deep I'm the mud

    I probably would have shat my pants. 

  • The video is a pre production LARC 5, there were also LARC 15 and LARC LX models.

  • The US Navy Beachmaster Units operate this version. I've heard that the US Army operates a much larger version.

  • I mean I would expect the marines to deal with this kind of stuff...

  • they got these in Halifax, Nova Scotia and it does harbour tours in the summer
