Junior 1B C.J. Cron singles twice during a May 26 game between the Utah Utes and the New Mexico Lobos. Cron was taken by the Los Angeles Angels with the 17th overall pick of the 2011 MLB First-Year Player Draft. The 6-foot-4, 230 pound Cron was originally selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 44th round of the 2008 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Mountain Pointe HS in Phoenix. He is a two-time Mountain West Conference player of the year.
