@LudwigVaanArthans I am neither religious, nor atheist, I only see the fact the we still do not know what created the universe and there are a lot of possibilities. I believe evolution and I love science, however we have not proven what created us yet, therefor I stand neutral. Not all religions believe in a "friend in the sky." I use to be Atheist, before I realized how arrogant I was. I had no real research or knowledge of the meaning of religion, and I took a liking to Muslim/Buddhism/etc.

@abhaywilliams They make a point. They do not prove. I can make points about uncertain things too. Life comes from the Great Turtle of Infinity <- what else could it be? Oh, my bad, your friend up in the sky is a better answer. The abrahamic faiths are all the same - they attribute to god everything, and get all butthurt when it slowly comes out that god is not responsible for what they believed in.

@Pivotman1 I totally agree with you there. I grew up in the south and into Biblical faith as well. The moment my mind started free-thinking for itself, I was seriously afraid and shocked at the things I was thinking and would hide them away. It is sad that the fear will keep most people from breaking off of religion. I was a lucky one.

Fuck. Yes. I could not have put it any better myself. I have been an atheist for almost a month now, and I grew up under generations of fundamentalist Christians, from Mississippi and South Carolina. After finding your videos, I have been slowly building up great points like this, ready for the day I have to explain to my parents why I don't believe in talking snakes and cosmic zombie saviors. I was born into Biblical faith and I even have a Biblical name... It was so hard for me to become an Atheist and it still is a little difficult. Since I was born into Biblical faith I still get the urges to run away or disavow my self from anything Atheist but a part of my brain keeps telling me to get the deed done and go with the obvious stances and I am. This is only directed toward Americanized Christianity. Most other religions make a point that God is what is inside every living object, what motivates it to breath and eat and not want to die. I mean, what is that force that inspires you to take that first breath after birth? And to find food and shelter, do whatever you can to make it to the next day? That is what they call God.
