Gonna Get it Next Time by Tubes from the 1981 movie Modern Problems. Chevy Chase is an air traffic controller having problems. He is having little success winning back his girlfriend until nuclear waste spills on his car giving him telekentic powers. The once meek, but now suddenly "empowered" Chase begins to wreak havoc on those who have annoyed him culminating in a weekend getaway at his friend's beach house where Chase's powers go out of control.

  • @AdidasCollection Funny... Barishnikoff didn't seem to have a problem with doing such a scene.Maybe it's because HE KNEW IT WAS A JOKE!!

  • @cantstopfishing Oh man, I hope they don't zero-level it in the mixing... That tends to ruin good songs.

  • @randy0987 Yes, it was a Lancia,,, Not the more desirable Scorpion, like used in "Herbie Goes To Monte-Carlo", but still a Lancia. And probably completely rusted-away by now, like many lower-price cars from that era & area of origin did, sadly....

  • @hamletms True, it wasn't that good... But, it had it's moments. And having saw it twice now... in the past few years... I can see now why the promotion campaign included a full-page ad in Boys-Life Magazine. Probably would have never noticed it, or even bothered to see it otherwise all these years later, when I'm able to appreciate the nature of it's nuances & humor.

  • @ladyamerias I just bootlegged a copy from on-demand programming via DVD-recorder awhile back... Made good viewing while waiting on a friend's doctor appointment on my porta-player!

  • @lespaul667 This explains alot... Like, why the theme for certain scenes was a slow, instrumental wood-&-brass combo cover of it.

  • YYYEEEEESSSSSSS!!! OH-OH-HA-HAAA I LIKE IT!

  • @epsteinsmutha1 Your right, it's the B side of the Sports Fans 7 inch German pressing on Capitol 1C006-86 487. I'm a happy owner of a copy.

  • Great tune, loved this movie!

  • this song should have been a #1 hit.
