I like listening to you Buck but I didn't like what you said about Komova! You may think I am just complaining but saying that a 17 year old gymnast should retire and get her period is just rude and horrible. Luckily Vika wouldn't click and watch this video because she doesn't speak English but if she did understand what you said she wouldn't take it well. I have met her a number of times at competitions in Europe so I can tell how she would react to your comments.

And you also have to account for her loss at the 2011 world championships where she once again lost to an American by a small amount and in that case was honestly robbed because a) Jordyn should NOT have been credited for her beam connections. Period. and b) her floor was underscored. Either/or, because if Jordyn got credited for those connections, Vika should've been credited for her Memmel turn, and Jordyn was at full power while Vika was still coming back from a lingering ankle injury. :/

Buck I normally agree with you but you're being quite harsh to Komova. She had the mental tenacity to pull out a floor routine a full point higher than what she normally gets on it at the exact right moment, even if it wasn't enough that day because Gabby just PEAKED. She has the 2nd AND 3rd highest all-around scores of the whole quad and is one of the only gymnasts in the world right now who retains the Soviet beauty/elegance with the modern power/difficulty.
