Yes I agree you can apply the scientific method to Spirituality, by applying your objective experiences and testing them against those of others, in a sense making it an objective "spiritual science", whereas I agree regular science is trapped in a material box. That will change in time when eventually a huge paradigm shift occurs

Even now some scientists are looking into the border between mind and matter... as these investigations continue perhaps even the illusion that spirit and matter are separated will become hard to keep intact

IMHO one's experience with God is all in the mind. It is like an emotion, a feeling that is created by the mind's chemistry and the circumstances that one's state of mind is in at that moment in time.

i can verify that the only way to "experience god" is to become that state of absolute being (beyond relationship style experience). i was that. the "god" concept obviously came from that experience. but the concept sure is not god. i am.

Experiencing god! Since when have internal feeling and personal experience became evidences.

You CAN have a direct relationship with God by remaining in a normal state of consciousness. If you change your state of consciousness you are doing what the Bible warns about and are getting into occultism. Being a believer in God means you have a relationship with the almighty father not that you experience a feeling. If you want a feeling then have a massage! You are just a New Ager masquerading as a believer of God. The Bible warns us about people like you.

THANKS!!!! for such angle of view----very flexible----and very natural for species like us----we must have a variety of angles!!! church doesnot give us opportunity to look from different points on our --LETS SAY FATHER---so humanity being UNSATISFIED with that situation TAKES and i believe will always take DESPITE!!! all that churches and religions opportunity to REALIZE!!! or SENSE!!! or RECOGNIZE!!! or whatever you call it--but to be closer to probably MAIN question of life!!!---with love

Double slit experiment.

Yes.
The very impulse to argue a case, to convince others, the inclination to become disturbed as others disagree with us or offer opposing views - seem to distract us from our ability at direct experience of the truth. "He who replies to words of doubt doth put the light of knowledge out." (W. Blake.)
Repeatedly, persistently one can drop any interest in the possible errors of others - no matter how frequent and common they may be.

@morelife33 that then would be how the wolrds smartest minds imagine god.
Interesting discussion - but again, I have to suggest that the video misrepresents the views of most scientists in an important way. The experiences of scientists are clearly not limited to sensory perceptions and the material universe alone. The thousands of intricate theorems in mathematics are perhaps the clearest example. A theorem is clearly not a physical object, and cannot be sensed - yet the experience of understanding it can be had by all - just like love, wonder, and other emotions...

But what do theorems say about something beyond the material universe?
