I feel hyponotised in a strange ,magical and powerful way. This effect is what sets mere mortals different from goddesses, and Her Most Gracious Queen is a true goddess, remote and austere. All singers today should queue and worship the altar of Aretha. Her voice is the voice that we have heard through the ages, we were all born, raised and lived during Aretha's reign, I simply don't know anyone greater. Her runs and achingly beautiful notes are wonderful. She is perfect. She is beautiful.

Now this is how a real singer and musician sounds without the magic of a studio. Aretha Franklin is definitely one of my favorite singers. She is an icon. Respect that. :-)

Originally, performed by the Late Little Willie John. Aretha's family CL Franklin officiated at the funeral of Little Willie John

I really have to thank all of the wonderful people who post these great Aretha gems. There is just no one like her.
We have some incredible Divas in our arsenal of Pop, R&B and Soul, but for me, Aretha is the measuring stick.

Oh really now. If you really was a Aretha fan like you claim you are you wouldn't be on her bashing her and talking about her weight. Get the Fuck Away FROM THIS VIDEO IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT. No matter what you say Aretha still has more soul in her right thumb than most have in their whole bodies. There is a reason why she is called The Queen Of Soul.

she has more soul-food Lmao!
This is perhaps the best interview Aretha has done to date. She was relax, at home and felt very comfortable w/ Donnie. True fans know Aretha expresses herself best when she's at the piano! If you were fortunate to see this hour long interview which aired March 1994, you would agree that it was a special and rare treat for all of the Queens fans! Yaskam thanks for posting!
