  • @cumborah I'm in my 20's and people my age don't get it. They definitely have their taste in music up their U.S.Anuses

  • I first visited Oz in '86, although I was in hospital with some diggers in Da Nang in '67. Since my intro to Red Gum, I've barracked for them with all my Yank friends, but they don't get it, much like your young Aussies today. Heard The Herd try to do "I Was Only 19" and they were terrible. I only regret never getting to hear them live in a pub with my mates back in the day and now it'll never be. I'll be coming "Home" in 2012 and I'll kiss the ground when I hit Melbourne. Good on ya', Red Gum.

  • @lalicatafamily your daughters a cunt :O)

  • @davesanga I am 17 and whilst I have never seen Schumann live, I absolutely love this band, and especially this song.

  • @davesanga I was in the theatre at Rocky that night they played.....small world eh?

  • Redgum. Maybe one of those bands that you have to grow with to fully appreciate. For me they formed the basis of many of my social views about what is right and wrong. As much as Chisel and Oils made the night, these guys had an everlasting impression. You either feel it or you don't and either way, that's fine. I am sure everybody has had, or at least will have, such an influential band on their outlook and lives - well mine was Redgum. Simple. Full stop,

  • 2:42 check out that sick mullet

  • @davesanga hell yes i wish my daughter had as much

  • Redgum.... Thumbs up.. Say no more!!!

  • I was lucky enough to see Redgum live in Rockhampton 1983 . Then saw John doin kids gigs at Westfields in Liverpool about 1987.The 3 year old daughter I had with me is about to have my first grandchild.Shit im gettin old ,but kids of today will never get to see the likes of Redgum .Us lucky enough to be born in the late 50s early 60s had the best of live bands, this being one of them.

  • Thanks a lot for sharing, mate.

Got some of their albums, never had the chance to see them live, though.
