  • @ApartmentsForRent - *Maintenance – I will say that they were very responsive to fixing problems within the unit. Unfortunately we had to call on them often. There were multiple electrical issues that caused issues with the microwave and lights. The door entry keys for the pool, gym, office, and other doors never worked properly the entire time we live there. They had to “reprogram” them 7 or 8 times.

  • Moving out Charges – On top of forcing us to have to pick up everything and move, the Irvine Company could not resist taking advantage of the situation and adding additional charges upon move out. Not only did they not return our deposit, below is what they charged us on top of everything… * Turnover Cleaning - $364 * Turnover Carpet Cleaning – $108 * Turnover Drywall Repair - $125 * Turnover Wall Paint - $260 * Final Water Bill (two months) - $310

    TOTAL - $959

  • Six months into our year lease, we received a notice on our door that they would be demolishing all of the stucco siding on our building. The notice said that there would be loud construction noise including jack hammering, there would also be a lot of dust and debris. The notice also stated that the tenants will not be able to enter their apartment from 9am to 5pm. You can retrieve items from your unit only if escorted by a construction worker .

  • Not only was this the worst experience I have ever had, I had not even heard of a company treating their tenants like this. The only voice that I have is writing these reviews and looking out for others that may make the same mistake. I will be sending this post to The Irvine Company corporate offices, if they see that there are consequences to treating consumers horribly… maybe they will learn.

  • Price – The rent here is ridiculous, I had to pay $2,150 per month for a one bedroom box. They charge you extra for an additional parking spot or you have to park in the street.

  • * Noise – I did not sleep well for 6 months because of the trains that go by every 1.5 hours throughout the whole night. It is not just the noise of the train itself, they are required by law to blow the horn when approaching a stop. The train conductor that goes by at 3am was particularly angry, lays on the horn at the highest decibel for at least a quarter mile. My wife and I were constantly exhausted from sleep deprivation. Sirens would accompany the train noise throughout the night as well.

  • * Safety - This apartment complex was built right next to railroad and in a very bad part of town, I m sure they bought the property dirt cheap. There had been a stabbing right out front of the complex, groups of the riffraff would also frequent the pool. My wife did not feel safe walking to the grocery store. Cars are broken into often
