Modified Spad stick with Super Tigre G 90 converted to run on gasoline.
The only modifications to this engine include: carburetor adapter plate, timing ring, rimfire sparkplug, crankcase cover tapped for pulse line, Some of the exhaust flange on the front of the engine ground down so carburetor will fit. The rest of the engine is stock. 15:1 oil seems to be just right for the bushed connecting rod. I have talked to a few people running these on 16:1 with no problems. The smallest I know of running like this is a super tigre 51.

I am using Penzoil aircooled 2 cycle oil. Do not use a cheap boat oil. Sthil makes a good synthetic oil that is supposed to be good as well. You need a good quality 2cycle aircooled oil since these engines run pretty hot compared to boat engines.

The engine has a CH ignitions RCexel ignition which is from china. It has auto advance built in. The engine uses one of those $20 ¼ rim fire spark plugs! I have a zama carb on it from a ryobi engine and it runs well. Last time I tached it I got 10K on a MAS 13X6.

I am running 15:1 oil or 120 ounces gas and 8 ounces oil to make a gallon. Put in the 8 ounces oil 1st and fill the empty glow fuel jug up with gas! It does spit its share of black oil but hey its running on cheap gasoline and an 8 ounce tank on a 90 2 stroke! I know I have flown over 10 minutes and had about ½ tank left
