CLEARWATER --
A plane has made an emergency landing in a field near Highpoint Elementary School in Clearwater.
Pinellas County EMS officials said it appears no one was injured and only one person was on the plane.
It has not been determined why or how the plane landed in the field at 6100 150th Ave. N. at 2:15 p.m.
The pilot of the plane has not been identified.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate the plane's emergency landing.

He's right. You can see that the prop was not moving when they landed. If the engine was running, the prop blades will actually pitch forward when they dig into the ground. These props pitch are back against the engine cowling. They rotated when they came into contact with the ground as most fixed pitch props do. But with no engine torque to pull them forward, they simply fold back upon crash.
