WOW... this is an old school episode. Big Bird looks so DIFFERENT. Even his voice is a little weird... he sounds more cartoony then he does now.

Yep. At first, Big Bird was just a goofy character before they made him more like a curious little kid. It also helps that the costume was improved a ton throughout the 70s.

THAT'S for sure... his head is so tiny compared to what it is now. I think his newer costume is a bit more friendly looking.
