Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture, in which performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume. Usually, the lion dances to entertain the crowd, then picks up his food (and Ang Pao - money in red packet), then throws cabbage and oranges around the office for good luck and gives a red piece of cloth to the eldest / most respected person in the office or the family.

We had a lion dance performance in our office for the year of the tiger in February 2010. Here is a short footage from the performance.
