  • Same area ,diffirent dozers :))) Topcon has advantadges with bigger machine. Trimble is the pruducers and developer of GPS . For real comparison, try them with some machines. We tried them, result was better for Trimble,

  • I have used the Topcon system for a few years now. I love It! We have an older system bought in 2006 with the dials on the screen, D-6XL. For grading side ways on the slope I detach the slope sensor wire. Then go into blade controle and pick a single point on the blade. At times it is helpful to pick the end bit of the cutting edge to keep you on plan. I look forward to my employer buying the 3DMC.

  • Thanks for the video, I know what my choice will be now. Speed with Topcon 3DMC all the way. Nothing wrong with the video at all. I can clearly see the Trimble equipped dozer blade bobbing up and down. Looks like he is running in manual

  • The Kellogg Report maintains a detailed comparison of both these 3D dozer systems and several others on their website.

  • There is so much wrong with this video. "I would say with 3DMC2 can handle a little more bit of a cut" - Thats because its on a bigger machine in this example with LGP undercarriage.

There was no mention that the Accugrade systems supports blade rotation as the dozers are doing most of the time. The Topcon system cannot calculate the position of each corner of the blade relative to the machine travel. It would not support following an alighment or line as such whereas the Accugrade system would.

  • for the speed try D6K vs D6K or D6N vs D6N!
