@spongedar1 Depends on the heads and the tuning. You can very well use coated or already dampened heads and, when tuned correctly, you will get almost no resonance, which would help in this situation, but I don't really see any others that you wouldn't want resonance on.. Besides like recording.

@spongedar1 Ah sorry I didn't spot you were in a church. I think I can make an exception for damping in that case (the other case would be a coffee shop or restaurant) :P

Huh? Why spend all that money on an OCDP set and then O-ring and Moongel it? You won't hear a difference between that and a set from Wal mart or wherever with all the damping on it.
Take it off and let them breathe!

just listen at the song playing in the background... this church has the acoustics of a school hallway, so when I play there I have to dampen the drums. If you want to hear what the drums sound like just look at my other clips. anybody who's musically inclined would have known whats going on:) - dar
