The first time our firebird has moved under its own power!!! We got it about 19 months ago and today we finally were able to take it on the road. No hood, no lights, and only the front brakes are working but oh man does it sound SAWEEET!!

  • um is it done yet?

  • nope and it probably won't be for a while since I now have a kid on the way. I'm doing body work now. Everything needed to drive the thing is done (engine, trans, suspension, brakes, etc). After the body work it'll be on to the interior.

  • Might wanna check out that motor. Burning oil? Lotsa smoke.

  • that smoke is actually burning transmission fluid. Took me a long time to find the problem but it was an incorrect dipstick. Whoever had the car before me put in a too-short dipstick which I assumed was correct when I bought the car. I had been overfilling it...

  • haha cruising Chandler St awesome, damn i live down the street on the blvd. i drive the 1989 black/grey primer Firebird!!!! AWESOME!!!!! just freaking awesome. it is incredible feeling i bet. also i like the tac mounting :)

  • I love that sound i have a 68 400 ho with a 4 speed and it hasn't ran in a couple years, i can't wait to drive it again it sounds do nice
