this is my opinion, but I am so hard pressed to understand what people like about this game. I felt that in terms of Gameplay Halo 3 was the best, in terms of story Halo 2 was the best, the story should have ended with Halo 3.

I have to say it, I hated Halo 4. But even if I did like it I would have to say that it did not stand up to many of the other nominees nor did it stand up to any other Halo game. the others had a sense of creativity while Halo 4 moved more closely to being clichéd and borrowed many 'new' features from Call of Duty and other FPS games. Even if I did like Halo 4 I still don't think that it was creative enough or enough fun to be Game of the year.
