This is my tribute to the men that lost their lives in the great war in defense of our freedoms. May We Never Forget Them.

  • lol at the trenches... they build them sidewas and never got anywhere, didnt they ever think of building them forward?

yes i respect all who died, as my father died in the wars thought for preservation.

  • They built their trenches to protect themselves from bullets and shrapnel.

  • Armistice day comes around again and yet people still don't seem to care... I see people refusing to observe the two minute silence for that one small moment every year.

  • Your right, this year i went down to the local memorial park and there were people who were talking during the silence, very sad indeed . . . . I suppose they don't value what these men have given them.

  • Great, but all of the soldiers in this video are English, so maybe a different piece of music would of gone along better. Still a great video none the less. Every single man in that unit sitting in the dugout was killed in less than an hour during the charge.

  • i selected this peice of music because it is played at the Ypres menin gate on Nov 11th and i thought it was a fitting tribute. But we are all entitled to our opinions! Glad to see you liked it :)

  • Thankyou so much for this, beautifully done.My Grandfather was in The Lancashire Fusiliers.Shot in the arm but sent home from France with trench foot.On his return he had both feet amputated, dying soon afterwards. He left a 2yr old son Joseph(my father)and a heavily pregnant wife Esther. She would give birth to a girl called Jesse...Thankyou from the bottom of my heart.Lets not forget x

  • LOL of the day, seriously.

  • they cant build them forward....they would get fubar by arttlerey

  • Off course they all died in vain! They died for 100 metres conquered land. And the next day they lost it again. 'They' are the allies as well as the entente. 'The great leaders' didn't care (For exemple Haig wouldn't visit the frontline, because he could not stand bodies torn apart). There for we have to remember the silly idea that 'We are fighting for a right cause and God is with us'. There for we will remember those boys who died. Not only then, but also nowadays.

  • I suppose in one way to be fair to the ordinary bloke on the street, they may not actually *know* what's happened in the various wars. They may not care! I remember during school and learning about the second world war it was pushed over and over again in so many guises that I'm not surprised so many people don't care. :(

  • Long live Heinrich Zinkgraf!
