The Gator would not get a second glance at a checkpoint and will still carry small notebooks. It is afterall a carry on, and not a checker. The Flyer is great for a checker though, and a great bag. The Gator and Flyer are two totally different bags to compare. The RO Train or Boss would be more in comparison.
I think you'd still waste time explaining to the security person why you shouldnt have to take your laptop out!

Nice kit....I dropped a lappie once in a hurry and forgot to zip up my case...screwed the HD...this is a nice thing and holds a fair bit

Nice video. ive got the RO gator which is padded and a much simpler easier bag to use. The CF looks overdone/overdesigned imo. But still a nice bag.
