Yeah, the weird concoction i was burning was probably why it was glowing. i actually just resurected it from the woods tonight. got it running on kero, and its hot, but not glowing now. Mine has a thermostat on it too, so it actually automatically lowers the oil when the mercury gets hot. It just bolts right on the control device there. Looks like it would fit on yours. Yours is the only other one i've seen :) I really like the style of yours better.
