162 - Travel Altar

My family is going out of town and my mother in law is in the process of crossing over. She has been in a nursing home and under hospice care for almost a year, so this is not unexpected. I felt the need to get together an altar to use while gone for the weekend, so I can do a crossing over ritual.

I apologize, but what's the big deal about Florida water? You're not the first person I've seen mention it, and I don't think I've seen it on any shelves around here (though I haven't really looked)

I thought the same thing until I used it for the first time. Krazyboytx has a great video about it. I get mine from the Lucky Mojo Curio company online. I recommend just trying it. It is awesome!

Sorry about your mother-in-law; I hope she passes easily and quickly, if she's already to that point.

On another note, this is a great video idea. I'm actually going hiking tomorrow and I'm thinking I might try to get a small altar setup together to take with me. Great idea; best of luck to your son's team at the soccer tournament!

You can get Florida water usually at any walgreens. I work there so i know we sell it.

love the travel kit - great idea! just a suggestion I found it very difficult to get hold of Florida water in Australia so I've been using 'Space Clearing' mist from Australian Bush Flower Essences which works amazingly I now use with all my rituals

i make my own figurines of the God and Goddess with clay i got from Hobby Lobby (i love hobby lobby <3) and i like doing rites outside so ill use two of them, and like a brick, or something for an altar. and for the elements ill find some rocks, branches, or whatever but most of the time for the elements i use the earth beneath my feet, the heat of my body, the water in me, the air around me, and Spirit within me.

I use a sand dollar for a pentacle. Sea shells rock for travel altars.
