john mayer isn't bad but, kenny wayne shepherd would blow him away

@chaliehall28 their both similar style guitarists. They share a lot of the same influences, but no one is going to blow Mayer away at guitar. Look up John Mayer, Slash, ZZ top, they did a show together and the general consensus there was Mayer was actually the best guitarist on stage that night. Same goes for Mayer and Clapton's crossroads performance. Defintely not saying he's better than clapton, but he's out-shined legends on stage before too. I would pay a lot of see a JM / KWS show though.

And this was not like Bold as Love, where he actually released the track, this is a song played at a concert in 2004, remember, Try! didnt even come out until 2005, this was before most people had any idea this guy could play blues guitar this well. Go listen to the cover of Califorina Dreamin he did on the Conan O'brien show, its on my page, that cover is pure originality.

no matter what people say, this guy is better than most of the biggest guitarists. he plays srv perfectly and in my opinion srv added to hendrixs's tunes. he plays little wing so smoothly, plus he can sing better than jimi. the only thing people don't like is that he has the looks of a pop star and not of a rock star. plus his voice is more adapted to the masses. its a shame cos most of you out there only know this guy cos of his image and not of is music.

@chaliehall28 Anyone can play with virtuosity, but only geniuses write great songs. John Mayer has more hit singles than KWS is going to accomplish in his life. And John mayer isn't even halfway through his career.
