I became a registered Republican years before the Obama election, and maybe you didn't get the logic. You also make an assumption that when someone changes political parties that they somehow have to swallow the party lines on everything.

Maybe he DID say he supported Ron Paul.. I don't recall but I do recall him saying the Republican Party needed supporting after the Democrats won the White House and had a majority in Congress

@vmoehlman1 End the Fed is Crack pottery. However, I like Paul's honesty, truly principled statesmanship and near singular Washington outsider status. And of course Paul's anti-imperialism alone makes him worth supporting. Do I got to be a Republican and go around saying I'm a Republican now because the Democrats won a majority and the country needs "two" parties --cause that's what Mr. Guthrie said!

How about, "I support Ron Paul" for a clear, sensible public statement instead?

I'm sure someone has made a similar comment in this long thread... but I am aware of how he has omitted the last 2 verses about the tresspassing sign and people standing in the soup line. This is just the standard white washed version. If this is our land, it's time we took it back.
