i believe hes trying to demonstrate the snatch grip shrug.now this exercise really hits the traps hard.also,the snatch grip deadlift and shrug.start with a snatch grip deadlift from the floor,come up like in a regular dead,and procede directly into a shrug before putting the bar to the floor.absolutely killer-5x5 on both.

Whenever I do Barbell Shrugs the right side of my face gets handicapped whenever I pull it up...
