  • @ihateyoujerkoff Great advice. Then, you go straight to hell for being a bitter man and fornicator. I don't know where you get your wisdom, genius.

  • 3:52 sexxxy chick : ]

  • I do not agree with him I acutally saw them and I was also touched by them

as well and they never harmed me

  • BITCHES dream up shit because their insane. i say, after their cunts get loose, fry them, and move on to the next whore...

  • @boriato if you haven't already, you should pick up his chronilogical autobiography: "greetings, carbon based bi-peds!", it's an interesting insight on his views and gives afterthoughts to essays and novels. it would seem that clarke views paranormal or religious claims as scientifically and sensably unbelievable, but throughout his afterthoughts he clearly grants that anything is possible and that he wouldn't be surprised to find he was wrong. he was sort of like a pantheist?

  • I'd love to know what Clarke really believed. In his Odyssey series, he wrote about super-intelligent space aliens evolving into spirit-beings, and of course he has Dave Bowman & Heywood Floyd (& even HAL) transformed into "star children" & re-appearing as ghosts (sort of). And his comments about the series (definitely 2001 anyway) seem to suggest he thought it was all possible. Is this the craziness of a brilliant mind that couldn't accept any real religious tradition?

  • @Elhardt It should be clear that most "experiences" of ghosts have nothing to do with real ghosts. Hallucinations are not all that uncommon, as anyone in the field of psychiatry will affirm. CBT and antipsychotic meds do indeed help a lot of people distressed by voices & visions. A lot of good comes from studying the "mundane truth" & Clarke knew that well. My guess is no ghost is real. Of course that can't be proved, but even if a few are real most have to do with mental health variances.

  • @boriato There is no "mundane truth" when it comes to ghosts. Multiple people do see and experience the same ghost(s) in the same places even when they never knew any such activity was common there. Ghosts have been picked up on video tape and audio recordings. They can also move physical objects (apparently you didn't read the comment below), so all that rules out it being in somebody's head. The usual superficial dismissal / denial with no critical thinking and ignorance of the subject matter

  • Yes, the mind is very capable of suggesting images and other sense impressions (hearing voices is the most common) to itself, and sometimes, some people can't tell what's real and waht isn't. It happens w/ grief, anxiety, schizophrenia, etc. Knowing more about the "mundane truth" could help bring relief to many people with mental health variances and spiritual distress. Cognitive Behavior Therapy and some antipsychotic drugs have helped a lot of people disturbed by such experiences.
