Jonah Lomu... The reason Chuck Norris checks under his bed every night.

@91gt306 trust me Jonah Lomu would have made sanders and peyton look like a normal running back, Jonah was Faster, Stronger and better tackle breaking ability

Ya'll are full of shit.

If it wasn't for Lomu my rugby skill would had stayed well under average back in the days lol. He was inspirational NO DOUBT. Thanks Jonah!

@ChelseaFC4life24 Thats cool believe everything you read. While you're at it check out the article from another "professional sports writer" that said he would have run the 40 in 4.2-4.3sec lol. Jimmy graham, Demarcus ware, haloti ngata, julius peppers, mario williams, brian orakpo, jevon kearse, all are from 6'4-6'7 260-300lbs all big, strong, fast, explosive and freakishly athletic. Its an different sport with different athletes to deal with.
-
@91gt306 see the thing about you americans is all about size, coz you've never seen someone like Jonah before, like I said before I'll take what that professional sports writer said about Lomu
-
@ChelseaFC4life24 Theres plenty of guys his size that are that athletic, they just dont play RB because at that size he wouldnt be as quick in and out of cuts which is why i brought up jason robinson he was more like barry sanders then jonah is. Haloti ngata is a great example of the big strong beasts (6'4 340lbs) in the nfl that i dont see jonah running over because there arent guys that size in rugby. Habana would have been average.
-
@91gt306 exactly because they haven't had anyone with the athletic ability like Jonah Has, Habana would also have ripped up, it would be much easier for Jonah to break tackles in the Nfl because they are not as good as rugby players a tackling

@ChelseaFC4life24 Anyone with common sense would know that rugby and american football are very different, with different athletes which is why one uses padding and the other doesnt.. As for those HOF players not making it in rugby, I agree with that to a certain extent but the same could be said about jonah as an nfl RB. Jonah would have more then likely been moved to TE, I could see jason robinson being a more effective RB then jonah tbh, since the ideal size for nfl RB is around 5'9-5'10.
-
@91gt306 not really, all those HOF wouldn't even cut it rugby, every time I see an american talk about rugby it's like, I can't believe they'er not using padding LOL Jonah the best ever running back in any sport
-
@ChelseaFC4life24 Yeah you clearly show your knowledge about the nfl by saying jonah was just as fast as any running back. When in fact he was slower then sanders, no one could make that man look normal like you have claimed. Jonah wouldnt need blockers, because according to you he could just everyone over right? Again you dont know what you're talking about. He wouldnt have surpassed any of the HOF running backs of the league. You just convinced yourself of that lol.
-
@91gt306 actually I know more about nfl than you do about rugby, another reason Jonah would dominate because I see Nfl finally discovering Polynesian athletes, Jonah Lomu is Tongan and so is Haloti Ngata, they both beasts, every time Jonah runs with the ball, he won't have to hide behind any blockers like payton and sanders .
NFL? Most guys in the are just as big and fast. Some of you guys need to get this notion that he would have dominated NFL out of your heads.

@91gt306 I agree thou I love Rugby I use to watch alot of NFL and it has bigger, faster and stronger players in it. It's because they play at 5-10sec spurts each down burst with Rugby the players are all go for 40min at a time. Jonah would have done well but I don't think he would have dominated
