Proponents of Intelligent Design claim that design is a causally adequate answer to the question of how information gets added to and removed from the genomes of species. But in order for design to be a causally adequate explanation of something, one would have to propose a mechanism by which the designer could materially direct the events in question. As Episode 2 demonstrates, design alone answers no questions of a scientific nature.
No, Gordon, I'm not a theist. I'm your atheist friend from YECs Anonymous. I look forward to seeing the rest of your videos, however!

Great SP caricature, but this seems like the pot calling the kettle black. At 1:35, there is the pronouncement that there is a designer. The boys are just seem one gap ahead of the ID detective.

If you are theist, as I am, then you believe that ultimately there is an intelligence that transcends nature. However, this is philosophy (or religion) not science. Science requires natrual cause and effect - that's the point. One's personal theistic views should not be a science-stopper when it comes to figuring out how nature works -- including how life evolved from non-life.

These new videos are great. You've really done a great job getting to the meat of the matter.

Thanks. The next two episodes are critiques of "Signature in the Cell" by Meyer.
