tutorial ?

Hey this looks awesome!! I'm trying to do something similar. What kind of material did you use to blend the wall in?

@VideoEditingGuru12 Hey, thanks for the comment, I may start doing tutorials on this channel but i'm just not to sure about it all at the moment.
It was pretty simple, because the camera was locked on a tripod, there was no need for motion tracking. I made a small scene in 3DS Max which consisted of a fractured box which a sphere then slowly hit. I used a plugin called thinking particles which is what actually animates the impact of the sphere and box, then I simply composited it all in AE :)

Where did you learn about rayfire?

@mbediting This was done with Thinking Particles, but I generally learnt to use Rayfire by watching a few tutorials and trying out some tests. :)

@JamesSimsFX Can you give some good websites?
mbediting 8 months ago
@mbediting Well learning Rayfire is simple, it is like the most easiest to particle simulator to use.
Just search here on Youtube, you will find some stuff, Also the creator of the plugin 'Mir Vadim' has a channel on here with some good examples and tutorials. Hope I have been of assistance :)

That was awesome! So i think i kind of get how you made the crack, but how did you composite it to match the wall? Did you apply any materials or something? Thanks!

@KungFuMastur Hi I don't think I'll fit too much in here because of the limit but I basically textured the wall crack in 3ds max as closely as possible to the real wall, then in after effects I colour corrected it to match it even better, then I erased the edges of the cg cracks with a lot of feather to blend it more. Then I used the rotobrush to make another copy of me which was placed on top of the cracks layer. Thanks for watching! :)
