Some talented local teenagers experienced a unique style of music from the Far East. Area students learned the art of Japanese Taiko drumming both at the Idea Center in Playhouse Square and at the Cleveland School of the Arts. Their teacher was Taiko drum master, Eitetsu Hayashi.

  • I lived in Japan for 40 years and saw Hayashi from his beginning. You should have seen him 20 years ago! Great though he still is, he was almost unbelievable then. For me he was and still is one of the sexiest men alive. Please, someone, try to locate and upload early videos of him.

  • Hayashi is a nice salesman of the Chinese drumbeats.
