Between March 24, 2009 and April 21, 2009 Target stores in the Omaha area have reported numerous thefts by shoplifting involving high dollar electronic items. According to a Target Investigations Specialist, the suspect enters the store heads to the electronics department and selects two or three high dollar items. The items include BluRay players and LCD monitors; he then places them in a shopping cart and leaves the cart near the grocery exit doors. The suspect leaves the store to get his vehicle, most often a purple Dodge Stratus or gold Chevy Cavalier, pulls into the fire lane, runs back into the store for the cart, loads the merchandise and leaves. The crimes are committed in six minutes or less.

The suspect, a white male with brown hair, was caught on surveillance cameras wearing the following in three of the incidents: a black and gray windbreaker with a brown knit cap, khaki pants and a blue sweatshirt, and a green and yellow t-shirt with a long sleeve white t-shirt underneath it.
