Here's the full length edit of surfing in Rhode Island RI during Hurricane Bill on Sunday morning. This features almost all the best clips I gathered from the morning featuring surfers Justin Casey, Ian Walsh, Garrett McNamara, and Chris Kelly along with a number of unidentified rippers. Great waves, some small barrels, and a packed lineup.
Edit: Benji Weatherly was also present. He's the one riding the bright yellow board.

  • It's nice to see a video that shows the whole ride, from the paddle in to the pull-out. Nice job.

  • @lumper12 Thanks a lot! I like seeing the whole wave, so you can get an idea of what the rider might have had going through his mind when he chose to do what he did.

  • Hurricane gert, 1997 I was surfing the corner w/ only 3 others out while everyone else was surfing the left on the other side. I think called generals or something. Long time ago. Noah Snyder showed up that day w/ Aaron Chang, Chang made a t-shirt from a photo of the corner that day.

  • @Rahbone Sick!

  • its ruggles you bonehead.

  • @clcooper Who's a bonehead?!

  • I bet i've watched this 50 times since 2009, still remember those waves down in south carolina on that day. Nothing like this, but they were crazy fun.

  • Really good video! You caught the action there. I love going to Ruggles for the show every hurricane. I always do some Flip video. But hey surfing video is so hard so I rarely post any of it. More fun to watch yours ;-) btw Thanks for all the editing esp the captions of the names of whose who.
