Is the Stimulus Working?

The GOP is up in arms over the fact that President Obama said that postive effects of the stimulus package are already being seen around the country. They seem to be ignoring the fact that teachers' jobs have been saved in several states, infrastructure repairs are already underway, and police and firefighters are holding onto their positions. It isn't the 2.5 million jobs that Obama promised, but since its been less than 100 days since the stimulus was enacted, that's expected. Mike Papantonio of Air America's Ring of Fire appears on "Cavuto" to debate the issue.

The "fact" that Obama said the stimulus is working doesn't make it so. OMB estimates only 150,000 jobs were created or "saved" (more smoke and mirrors) at the same time millions of jobs were lost.

At the cost of $900 BILLION dollars we could all stop working and just go on welfare.
