  • @pbartels: Unions are WHY there are labor laws. In a state with at-will employment laws, you could be fired for whistle-blowing. You have rights without unions, rights being one part of the picture. Without collective bargaining, only one party is at the table, the same bankers that brought the financial meltdown.

  • great editing. Strong Message. Down with Walker. Up with Worker Rights. Worker Rights are Civil Rights.

Cool, so you must be in opposition to Walker's bill (enforced with the "guns of government") which would cut the workers take home pay, i.e. their "wealth", right?

  • There is no "right" to other people's wealth, so using union-style "collective bargaining" (extortion) to get it is unacceptable. Using the guns of government to get what you want is criminal.

  • I'll bet that woman didn't even get a permit to spread those ashes at the statehouse. It's nice to see that these "peaceful" union protesters have so much respect for "the people's house." Maybe I'll request to have my ashes dumped out in that woman's living room to see how she likes it.

  • I would like to take this opportunity to express a personal observation that I believe many will comprehend and accept, once considered. Work is being outmoded (automation) and we as laborers are being made obsolete. We can fight the inevitable, or we can work to reinvent our societies. I ask all Unions and union supporters to consider what role Unions can play to help society shift from a labor force to a liberated society, free to engage in tasks of interest. Please shift gears now.

  • @TheLoveschach I completely agree.

  • See you on the streets brothers and sisters, especially those in Philadelphia, PA I'll be on the picket line with ya supporting WI as well as the rights of workers worldwide. Solidarity!

In the words of Mike McClogan from Street Dogs - "Up the Union!"
