Nice poem. I don't know about the boomers down under, but in my hemisphere, they were and continue to be all about selfish desires. I think history will record them as the generation to popularize drugs, copulation, and insurrection. Oh they had their protests, of course with the noble goal of preserve their own asses, but as soon as the torch of leadership was handed to them they went ahead and sold out everything and everyone. They turned greed into a virtue.

With negatives still in our environmental demise and lingering injustices where bigotry still thrives. Mine's, by far this far! Mines, a postwar generation sons and daughters of a status quo, a baby boom born in hope sharing birth with the nuclear age, old empires crumbled down leaving isms and realisms in mindless tricks to passing schemes. Then, rock n roll shook the stage a teenage revolution serving rhythms of change jet-streaming through the mind.

Which the previous generation inherited from those in power after "World war 2" never finished the job and instead allowed the USSR to enslave 100s of millions! And only some Casino Bankers are of my generation

Boomers : the one generation of "Americans" who protested traditional values and embraced "collectivism" only to wake up 40 yrs later to find that all along they ushered in a COMMUNIST subculture that has now taken root in our govt (thanks to the Boomer congress) and culture -they dont even HIDE IT ANYMORE!! Boomers NEVER contributed to America , and they have become the very thing they protested against in the 60's! May you all live your "twilight yrs" in misery....
