CS Percussion - Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) - Acoustic Gospel Blues Version

A few months ago I showed up to Sunday morning practice and my worship pastor said, "Staley, We are doing "Amazing Grace" today for communion, however, I want a gospel blues sound.....How do we do it, you arrange it."

First of all I was blown away that out of our 8 person band, I was the one being asked to arrange and create it. This has somewhat now become the standard of how we play this in our church. This is the acoustic version done with the djembe.

With this video I encourage all percussionist's to think outside the box. Make songs your own, but keep it simple. Over playing can easily take others out of worship.
