A simulation of raindrops in MATLAB. This video shows the computational speed and visualization benefits from Jacket-enabled MATLAB, which uses GPU acceleration.

(Note: FPS is the number of frames per second processed by the computation and visualization pipelines, not the video frame rate.)

  • @nhojmabon The Tesla and GeForce gpu's are almost the same thing, the performance is almost identical.

  • My understanding is that this was a comparison between an i series cpu and a tesla gpu. Do you know where I could find a comparison between an i series cpu and a gaming gpu, such at the GTX580/590? I want to know if jacket will significantly improve the speed of my matlab programs with one of these less expensive gpu's. Thanks

  • thanks..this video explain every thing.

  • Not really OpenCL too

  • can't wait till I can boil water to cook my own food in oblivion 3 =D lol, sorry
