Yes they used this music for royal rumble 1991-1994.

These people claiming that this is "Royal Rumble" music must be young. This is the actual SummerSlam'88 opening. If the music was used for the Royal Rumble, the WWF obviously took it from here and then used it for the Rumble later on.

What are you talking about? He is and was way ahead of Ross.
Ross never wrestled. Gorilla (and Jessie too) would explain the match, the moves, what it felt like to be in there. In other words, he had full credibility, explained the whole deal and nobody (in front or behind the camera, not even Vince Jr) could make him look to be a 'fool'.
Ross just yelled alot and tried to come up with catchy sentences and was 'good' for a short run.
