Screamo WAS a genre. In the 80's but it was more of a punk kinda thing, funny thing is, it had NO screaming in it, confusing, but true.
Screamo died out by the mid 90's. It no longer exists and has nothing to do with the metal scene.

@InsanityIsNormality now theres where i can agree wit you :) all those bands you just listed are complete shit. and i use the term screamo when i hear screaming in a song. which is basically where the term screamo came from

@fallenangel900 Yeah, I do know there are a lot, screamo is bullshit. it doesnt exist, and this band is death metal, prodominantly. and even if you wanna use the term screamo, at least use it on bands that at least partly warrant it: Escape The Fate, Black Veil Brides, Blessthefall etc etc etc
shit like that, but dont use it for GOOD music.

Darkest Hour a a melodic death metal band, excluding the two albums (cant remember the names of them) tht Demon(s) and Convalescence are on. Those are more metal-core albums, but there is no such thing as screamo, no band is screamo. LEARN THIS FACT! :D
