I investigate fatalitise from Oxy-Acetylene and propane, every day I see people who have been injured through poor Equipment and operator error, and deaths not only the operator but people near-by, British by the accents, hose assemblies in USA are green & red, UK is red & blue lke yours, as for the broom ?. I would feel safer brushing up than be anywhere near you guys.Be in no doubt, this practice is beyond HSE & BCGA regulations, but I supose you Know better eh, RIP.

get a grip people we used to do these all the time in rubber gloves its about as dangerous as a fart going off in your hand, a work friend of mine actually had one go off in his hand and it didnt even burn the skin... most likely injurys would be to the ear drums, can be fatal if the tank go's off, but otherwise this is just harmless fun in a otherwise mundane job i even seen roy from american hot rod pull this on t.v !!
