Wonderful.In May 2001 "Cattle and Cane" was selected by Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) as one of the Top 30 Australian songs of all time. When you think of ALL the amazing music and musicians that Australia has given us that is quite an honor. I miss Grant so much.

I grew up in Sydney and now live in Qld, I remember hearing this when it first hit the mainstreem, and thought what a great place that they are singing about? it planted a seed in my head about rural queensland and growing up there must have been awesome

I agree with you, I completely agree. That was very well said, I mean The Aztecs set the ground for some great music, but I'd far rather listen to The Go-betweens. I remember the day Grand McLennan's death was announced I heard the news in Triple J of course.
