  • @Sduibek That is a super piebald Boiruna maculata. Normally the color on the head is the color for the rest of the body. Super piebalds only have a little bit of color on the head.  The smaller snake was a premature African House Snake, which I do raise as feeders to get neonate mussuranas feeding. Go to my website (Doug Taylor Reptiles) and you can read up on mussuranas.

    In the wild a meal like that would be substantial, but mussuranas digest food fast and babies just put it into growth.

  • Holy crap that's awesome. Was the smaller one purchased and intended to be for food? The larger one had color on only the head because it shedded recently I'm assuming? Also in the wild how long would that keep it 'full' in terms of hunger, like several months or something?
