  • I completely agree. And to everyone else, videos cost money for artists to produce. Without ads they don't make money to pay back the cost of making the video. And artists, especially lesser known ones like Emily Haines, don't make tons of money from people buying their music (with all the illegal downloading there is these days). So if my viewing of a 15 second ad helps support an artist and keeps them making music, I'm willing to "suffer" through it and you should be too.

  • Worst surprise party ever.

  • Yes, I have felt THAT alone.

  • I want that purse.

  • @ThumbprintTheatrics canadian version of target

  • All your pain will end here.

Let the doctor soothe your brain, dear.

  • What is that red word that flashes on the wall behind her at 0:33? When the camera angle changes? I think it says "Zellers". What is that?

  • Ms. Haines, you are my warrior-princess punk-rock poet. You are my goddess. I adore you, I am yours.

That being said, I totally watched 3:44 on like 20 times in a row.

    Sorry, you're pretty. = (

  • @MusicUndiscovered That's a very postmodern argument, but I completely agree. It's hard for lesser known acts to get their music out there so sometimes they have to sell out a little.

  • @MusicUndiscovered Since when is Emily Haines lesser known? She managed to get the attention of Vevo. Maybe you forget that youtube, before it was bought by Google, was strictly a fan based medium. For Us, By Us. I'm down for supporting the artist, but I don't have to be down for watching advertising to do so. Bands still make money touring, as they have done forever. For me, the video started, and then was cut off by advertising, pretty lame. kinda hurts actually.
