This is Day 6 of my Song-a-Day August project, with the song 'Wild Night' by Van Morrison. My friend David is also here, providing the solo part. He is also in the band Happy Sharks with Jeremy Covell and I. This one was tons of fun to make, enjoy.
@KryoWarrior Haha, thanks. We were both just having fun, not really trying for technique so much. I'm more of a pianist than a guitarist, I know my guitar technique isn't so good. However, I purposely hit the third fret on the E string when I play a C chord, since I like having a G in the bass rather than an E. But yeah, I should probably stop doing that. Thanks for the feedback, though.
Man, you guys are a little sloppy, but still good job! Here's a guitar-player tip: Hold your left hand thumb on the middle of the neck, opposed to the frets, this will give you a bigger range over the guitar frets; it shouldn't even be visible, as it definitely MUSTN'T be curled up around the neck, like I'm seeing in your video.
