Cycling UCI Road World Championships 2011 - Cycle film edit

Great Britain´s Mark Cavendish is Road Race World Champion 2011 in Rudersdal north of Copenhagen, and now officially the best sprinter on the planet.

In a super tight sprint to finish line, Cavendish beat his australian team mate Matthew Goss in a thrilling battle for gold and silver. The bronze duel was just as close, with Germany´s André Greipel beating Switzerlands Fabian Cancellara in a photo finish decider.

Team Great Britain were in control most of the day, setting the pace in the field all day and always in control of the break aways, which were pulled back one by one as the finish line got closer and closer. A very high speed race, with a finish time for the 266 km. at 5:40.27 hours suited the Brits best as captain Mark Cavendish completed the perfect day and awarded his team mates for their hard work.
